CCHS SEND Support - Paediatric Referrals (ASD/ADHD)
Pursuing a Paediatric Referral
If you wish to pursue a paediatric referral for your child, please find further information on the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust website - Community Child Health Referrals for Neuro-Development.
If you have concerns that your child may be showing behaviours associated with ADHD or autism, we encourage you to speak with your GP. As part of the referral process, the GP will require a behaviour summary from the school, which you can request directly from us. Please note that there is a question on the paediatric referral forms which ask if parents have accessed any early support through the Essex Local Offer, therefore please do explore the offer for further support.
Additionally, if you are worried about your child’s progress in school and feel there may be underlying Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), please use this contact form to get in touch with us.
We will then explore the most suitable person to contact you back regarding your concerns.
Depending on the nature of your query, this may be a member of the Inclusion team, the Pastoral team, or another appropriate staff member.
